"Sylvie Reis is a multidisciplinary visual artist, recycler & ocean debris picker. She had always dreamt of living by the ocean and making art with ocean debris. In 2016, she sold everything, bought an Endeavor 43-foot 1979 sailboat, and left sailing with her husband.

To create her “Reis_Cycle Sailboat Murals” she gathers up fiber glass, plexiglass, aluminum, wood, and other debris found on island shorelines and floating in the ocean. Every piece stays in its original found shape. Behind each sailboat is written the location where the pieces were found, they are numbered and signed by the artist."
