“Elizabeth, who has a fine arts degree in silversmithing from the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio, is a resident of St. Thomas USVI. She has lived, worked, and shown her work on island through galleries, local shows, and at her studio for the past 30 years.
Married to a 5th generation French-Caribbean gentleman, her work reflects that combined background with an emphasis on Island culture.
Flowers, large and small fish, palm trees, and shells are represented in her collection. They may be crafted in silver with gold touches or alone with gemstones. Antique porcelain is also crafted into unique earrings and pendants.
Custom work is invited, and Elizabeth will work with the customer to achieve the design the customer envisions. This is often done by a sketch mailed to the individual who responds with ideas. This process can take weeks to reach a conclusion, but it achieves a very special custom result.
Old gold can be melted for use in a new piece, as can sterling silver. Since each piece is made individually, gemstones may be personally selected.”
